Power-boats bottom cleaning

   Power-boats are unique in the fact that they have much more below-waterline surface area, due to the fact that their beam is normally wider than that of a sail boat. For this reason in combination with the simple fact that power-boats almost always have more running gear and have trim tabs or outdrives, power boats are charged at a higher rate per foot than sailboats.

Power-boat cleaning cost per foot (Measured by length overall -- no exceptions)

   NOTE -- All 8-12 week maintenance scheduled prices are based upon the facts that the vessel has been cleaned within the last 12 weeks, and the vessel is signed-up on a reoccurring 8-12 week cleaning schedule with us. If the initial cleaning is done at a rate by these standards and services are discontinued by the vessels owner prior to the 2nd cleaning, S/V Wicked Wahine will back charge the un-paid difference in cost per foot for vessels on an 8-12 week schedule with us and those which are not. In short, if you get a rate for being signed -up on a maintenance schedule and then cancel before the second cleaning, we back charge you the extra money we would had charged someone who hadn't signed-up for an 8-12 week maintenance schedule. The price break for signing-up on a maintenance schedule is a gift to our customers for the guaranteed reoccurring business, and the efficiency in scheduling which that affords us. 

   In the event the vessel has not been cleaned within 12 weeks prior to our initial cleaning, we will require an estimate dive (rate below) to determine the initial cost per foot for the initial cleaning. After the initial cleaning, the vessel with be cleaned at the rate as scheduled below for boats on maintenance schedules and those which are not. 

   If a vessel owner chooses to not go on a 8-12 week cleaning schedule, and they go past 12 weeks and again want us to clean their vessel, we will charge for another estimate dive to determine cost per foot for that cleaning. The longer in-between cleanings, the longer it takes us to clean, and the more we have to charge, sorry. 

Estimate Dive -- $20 

   Note-- If the customer chooses to have the boat cleaned at our estimated rate, and they sign-up on a maintenance schedule of no longer than 12 week intervals, we will apply the $20 for the estimate dive to the price of the initial cleaning. If we have to do the estimate dive, and the customer does not sign-up on a maintenance schedule of 12 weeks or shorter, we DO NOT apply the estimate dive cost to the cleaning.

Outter mooring and East Mooring surcharge -- If your vessel is to be cleaned on it's mooring, a hazard surcharge of $0.20 per ft. will be added to your per ft. cost. The fee can be avoided by bringing your boat into the harbor to be cleaned.

On 12 week or shorter maintenance schedule

Power-boats 50' or less

Single-screw inboard -- $3.75 per ft. 

Twin-screw Inboard -- $4.00 per ft. 

Single Screw Outdrive -- $3.75 per ft.

Twin-screw Outdrive  -- $4.00 per ft. 

All outboard power-boats -- $3.50 per ft.

Vessels NOT on a 12 week or shorter maintenance schedule, or NOT on a maintenance schedule at all. 

NOTE-- Vessels which have not been cleaned within the last 12 weeks must be estimated, and an estimation dive fee of $20 will be incurred by the owner. If the customer chooses to have the boat cleaned at our estimated rate, and they sign-up on a maintenance schedule of no longer than 12 week intervals, we will apply the $20 for the estimate dive to the price of the initial cleaning. If we have to do the estimate dive, and the customer does not sign-up on a maintenance schedule of 12 weeks or shorter, we DO NOT apply the estimate dive cost to the cleaning.

Power-boats 50' or less

Single-screw inboard -- $4.25 per ft. 

Twin-screw Inboard -- $4.50 per ft. 

Single Screw Outdrive -- $4.25 per ft.

Twin-screw Outdrive  -- $4.50 per ft. 

All outboard power-boats -- $4.00 per ft. 

   NOTE-- All vessels which have not been cleaned within the previous 12 weeks will be subject to an estimate dive at the cost of $20 to be paid by the vessels owner regardless of whether the estimate is accepted or not, nor wether we clean the boat or not. Once we dive to estimate the cost per foot to clean the vessel, the estimate dive fee is due. We guarantee that we will produce an estimate for cleaning, and we will clean the vessel at that rate.

   All vessels over 50' of length overall, and all commercial vessels no matter their length are estimated on an individual bases. There is simply no way to estimate boats without seeing them which may have thrusters, keel coolers, and various time-consuming hardware to clean.
